He never was physically strong, but since June 1944 he has suffered with heart trouble and uremic poisoning. Last Sunday he was taken to the hospital at Geddes where he was at the time he peacefully slept away. Mr. Paulson was born in Christiana, Norway Oct. 17. 1875. At the age of nine he came to America with his parents who settled at Hudson, S Dak. He attended the local schools of the community. Having been baptized in a Lutheran church of Norway, he was confirmed at the age of 16 in the Trinity Lutheran church of Hudson, S. Dak. When he was 22 years of age he homesteaded on a farm near Geddes where he made his home until his death. In 1907 he was married to Hannah Larson of Lake Andes. Both Mr. and Mrs. Paulson have been active members in church, school and public affairs. They have been long time members of the West Lake Andes Lutheran church. Children born to this union are: Mrs. Oscar Gibson of Hudson, S. Dak; Mrs. Clifford Faughender of Geddes and Mrs. Charley Jan of Sioux Falls. A son and daughter preceded him in death. The grandchildren are Donald and Ronald Jan and Nila Gibson. Two brothers, three sisters, and one half sister preceded him in death. The three sisters who survive are: Mrs. Paluda Larson of Luverne, Minn; Mrs. John Jensen of Lake Andes, and Mrs. Edd Gunderson of Geddes. Funeral services were held from the home at 1:00 P M Friday Feb. 16 and at the Community church in Geddes at 2 P M. Rev. Virgil Bjerke officiating. The pallbearers were: Robert Odeen, Phil Graham, Lindhart Mikkelsen, Nels Christensen, Tom Thompson and Knute Langeland. Interment was in Pleasant Lawn cemetery. Other relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Paluda Larson, Luverne, Minn. Raymond and Bryant Larson and Mrs. Mary Larson of Harrison Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Larson and Gladys and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Biddle and Verla all of Alcester and Edwin Gunderson of Minneapolis.

    Pallbearers were: Leonard Prosser, John Prosser, Lorenzo McCoy, Marian McCoy, LeRoy McCoy, and Conrad McCoy.

    She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice Larsen of Harrison, and Mrs. Marian Braley of Sundance; four step-daughters, Mrs. Maxine Fisher of Fort Laramie, Mrs. Vivian Parsons of Harrison, Miss Esther Ellicott of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Norma Robinson of Albuquerque, NM; and five grandchildren, Mrs. Dixie Oats of Sheridan, Rex Gray of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Cynthia Parsons of Harrison, Luanna and Gary Fisher of Fort Laramie.

    Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marian McCoy, her daughter, Leona Gray, three brothers Irvin, Guy, and Barney McCoy, two sisters, Lula Wilson and Bertha Prosser, one granddaughter and one stepson died previously.

    Out-of-town relatives present were: Mrs. Leona Fry, Conrad McCoy, Stella Crouch, all of Torrington, Mr. and Mrs. Herchel Smith, Mrs. Hope Reece, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy McCoy, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Prosser, John Prosser, Mrs. Ellen Blackwell and Roxann Lorenzo McCoy, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hamaker, Bruce Rouse, Mr. and Mrs. Marian McCoy, all of Crawford, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamaker of Harrison.

    Mrs. Ellicott was born September 18, 1884 in Kearney, Nebr. In February she married Ray Hamaker and they lived in Sioux County four years and near Redbird four years. In 1918, shortly after moving to Van Tassell, Mr. Hamaker died. In December 1921 she married Earle Ellicott. He died in May 1938. After his death, Mrs. Ellicott ran the Log Cabin Motel at Riverton for several years. Later she moved to Lusk, where she has resided the last twenty years.

In her early years, she lived at the Redbird Store area until she was three, then the family moved to Van Tassell. In 1921, the family moved to the Bill Hoyt ranch in Niobrara County. Marian graduated from the Sioux County High School in Harrison, Neb., in 1931.

    She was married to Vere Braley and they lived in Sheridan and the later years living in Sundance. Mr. Braley died in 1974.

    Mrs. Braley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Leona in 1941, and Alice in 1974.

    Survivors include one niece, Mrs. Dixie Comatzer, of North Carolina, and one nephew, Rex Gray of Maryland.

    For those who wish, the family would appreciate memorials to either the Crook County Nursing Home or Sundance Senior Citizens Center.

    Bader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Braley, 67, of Dayton, Wyo., died July 1 at Sheridan Hospital.

    He was born February 16, 1907, in Terry, Mont., and as a young man was a bronc rider on the professional rodeo circuit and known as "Powder River Slim". He retired from rodeo in 1930 and made his home in Mississippi.

    In 1946 he moved to Utah and worked as a carpenter. He also lived in Colorado, Montana and California and in 1960 moved to Sundance, Wyo. He became ill, retired and moved to Dayton in 1972.

    He married Marion Hamaker February 28, 1953 in Forsyth, Mont. She survives him, and their son, Duane lives in Minneapolis where he works for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hal (Bernice) Haun, Pico Rivera, Calif., and Mrs. Dick (Kathleen) Crossby, Owatonna, Minn; a brother Glen of Miles City, Mont; two grandchildren and a nephew, Jim, of Sheridan.

    Mrs. Fickbohm worked as a telephone operator and in different administrative positions for 37 years for Bell Systems.
    She lived in Boulder from 1997 to 2000, when she moved to Louisville.
    Mrs. Fickbohm was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.
    "She was an optimistic person who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she encountered," her family said.
    Survivors include a son, Greg Fickbohm of Louisville; three sisters, Marie Wiberg of Alcester, S.D., Sally Pierce of Tuscon, Ariz., and Esther Mollner of Burbank, Calif; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Bob Paulson, Cliff Paulson, Harold Paulson and Paul Paulson; and three sisters, Jo Moberg, Hazel Ludens and Edie Morgan.
    A memorial servicewill be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Balfour Retirement Community of Boulder County, 1855 Plaza Drive, Louisville. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.
    Contributions may be made in her name to Humane Society of Boulder Valley, 2323 55th St., Boulder, CO 80301.
    Howe Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

    Marie Wiberg was born April 16, 1912 on the family farm in Lincoln county, South Dakota, the daughter of Helmer and Anna (Erickson) Paulson. She attended country school in Lincoln county, South Dakota. Later, she worked in a café in Centerville, South Dakota.

    She was united in marriage to Herbert Wiberg on October 15, 1936 in Canton, South Dakota. The couple farmed north of Spink in Union county, South Dakota. Marie was a homemaker for her family. After Herbert’s death in 1969, she moved to Alcester. She was a caregiver for many children for over 20 years. For the past year and half, she has been a resident of Morningside Manor in Alcester.

    Marie was a former member of Alsburg Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school superintendant and teacher. After moving to Alcester, she became a member of Nathanael Lutheran Church. While attending both churches, she was active in Ladies aide and circle. She enjoyed helping her children when they were young with their 4-H projects. One of her favorite pastimes was watching her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing cards, and playing the piano. She enjoyed cooking and making divinity candy for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

    Survivors include her daughter, Lois Anderson and her husband Bob of Volin, SD; a daughter-in-law: Lyna Wiberg of Alcester, SD; 7 grandchildren: Rhonda Eckert of Wakonda, SD, Terry Anderson and his wife Annie of Sturgis, SD, Darcy Nagel and her husband Dennis of Rapid City, SD, Shawn Anderson and his wife Jennifer of Gayville, SD, Daniel Wiberg of Alcester, SD, Paula Wiberg of Alcester, SD, and Amy Schlueter and her husband Wade of Alcester, SD; 7 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, and Dagny Anderson, Zane, Chance, Scout, and Sage Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert; a son: Donald Wiberg; 6 sisters: Josie Moberg, Hazel Ludens, Mabel Fickbohm, Edith Morgan, Esther Mollner, and Sally Pierce; 3 brothers: Paul, Clifford, Robert, and Harold; and 4 great-grandchildren: Allyson, Austin, Cole, and Carli Eckert.

    Casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary Casket bearers will be her great-grandchildren.
