She was born on March 12, 1924 near Lime Ridge, the daughter of George and Leona (Radloff) Vogel. She was baptized on June 20, 1925 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reedsburg and later confirmed there on April 10, 1938. Juanita was a 1942 graduate of Reedsburg High School and a 1944 graduate of Sauk County Normal School. She taught for five years in rural one room schools. Jaunita was also a substitute teacher in the Reedsburg School District for many years. On October 1, 1949, she was married to Dean R. Oetzman. Three boys and twin daughters were born to this union. Juanita gave her time and talents for the Lord. She was a 4-H leader, belonged to the Homemakers Club, was a volunteer literacy reading tutor, was a lifetime Reedsburg Hospital Auxiliary member and served on the LaValle Township Election Board for many years. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid, altar guild, taught Sunday School, worked with the quilt tying group, belonged to the Lutheran Womens Missionary League, Lutheran Laymens League, the bible study group and helped packed for the Orphan Grain Train. Survivors include her four children: Dan Oetzman, of Hillsboro; Gary (Debra) Oetzman, of Lodi; Randy Oetzman, of Portage and Connie Oetzman, of Shakopee, MN; eight grandchildren: Scott, Jason, Melanie, Ben, Casey, Ali, Isaac and Emily; four great grandchildren:Jaxson, Arbella, Harrison and Steven; her brother: Dale Vogel, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, on January 9, 2009; her daughter: Bonnie Oetzman; her daughter-in-law: Shirley Oetzman; one grandson: Steven Oetzman; and one brother: Chester (Joyce) Vogel. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in LaValle with Pastor Robert Butler officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated. He was born on April 15, 1923 in the Town of Freedom, Sauk County, the oldest child of John and Nellie (Brooks) Oetzman. He was baptized on June 29, 1924 in the German Methodist Church, Town of Westfield. He was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, on March 19, 1950. Soon after that, he joined Zion Lutheran Church in LaValle where he has been an active and faithful member. He served on various boards and committees at Zion. He served on the building committee when the new church was built in 1955. On October 1, 1949, he was united in marriage to the former Juanita A. Vogel. They bought a farm north of LaValle. Three boys and twin daughters were born to this union. Dean served on the old Sand school board before it closed in 1963. In 1958, the DNR appointed him an Emergency Fire Warden, where he served until 2004. He had served as a delegate to the South Wisconsin Coop for three years. He served as president and secretary of the Vacationland Zone, Lutheran Laymens League. He was appointed director at large of the district Lutheran Laymens League board in 1997. Dean was proud to have received the Lutheran Laymens League, layman of the year award in 2001. He served on the Reedsburg Equity Coop board from 1960 to 1969. He was Constable for the Town of LaValle from 1972 to 1981. During this time he also served as special deputy sheriff for Sauk County. He served on the Town of LaValle board for 14 years. Dean started collecting license plates in 1973. He joined the Automobile License Plate Collectors Club in 1974. He was instrumental in getting the Dairyland License Plate Collectors Club started and served, as it's first president. Dean worked for Friede Brothers Construction Company for 27 years retiring as job superintendent in 1989. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; four children: Dan (Shirley) Oetzman, of Hillsboro; Gary (Debra) Oetzman, of Lodi; Randy Oetzman, of Portage and Connie Oetzman, of St. Peter, Minnesota; eight grandchildren: Scott, Jason, Melanie, Ben, Casey, Ali, Isaac and Emily; two brothers: Paul (Dorothy) Oetzman, of Prairie du Sac and Fred Oetzman, of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister: Ruth Mahler, of Madison; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Bonnie Oetzman and one grandson: Steven Oetzman. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 14, 2008, at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH in LaValle with Rev. Robert Butler officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reedsburg and was active with the ladies aid group. She had a love for music, for family and a special love for her children and her grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Chet, who died Dec. 25, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Ron Vogel of Verona and JoLynn Fauerbach of Reedsburg; a grandson, Nicholas Fauerbach; a sister, Joan (James) Pope of Dodgeville; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale (Mae) Vogel of Reedsburg and Juanita Oetzman of Hillsboro; a cousin, Phyllis Stanton of Baraboo; and other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Home Health Hospice.

Larry served in the Wisconsin National Guard and was part of Berlin Crisis being called up with the 32nd Division in Fort Lewis, WA. He was a devoted husband of 46 years to Phyllis nee: Luedtke, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa "PaPa." Larry was an innovative, progressive, positive thinking man who had a deep passion for farming and green machinery. He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Leland where he had served on the church council. Larry was involved in farm organizations and enjoyed hunting, traveling, country music and watching the Badgers, Packers and Brewers on TV. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his children: Melanie (Paul) Berry, of Baraboo, Laren and Derek, of Loganville; grandchildren: Kayla, Kailey and Kyle; his great-granddaughter: London; sisters: Carol (John) Anderson, of Spring Green and Beverly (Donald) Meyer, of Loganville; his sister-in-law: Sandra (Robert) Molitor, of Reedsburg; aunts: LaVera Krey, of Loganville and Dorothy Krey, of Spring Green; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law: Allen Klitzke. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Leland with Pastor Erich Hartenberger officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Reedsburg Veterans Honor Guard. He was born on June 17, 1929, in the town of Westfield, the son of Carl and Emma (Schneider) Herritz. Julius was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the United States Army. On May 23, 1951, he was married to the former Crystal E. Schneider. She preceded him in death on Aug. 29, 1999. He later married the former Adeline Kennedy Schultz on Jan. 18, 2002. Julius worked for the Sauk County Highway Department for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and also an active member of the Reedsburg Veterans of Foreign Affairs and the Disabled American Veterans. Julius enjoyed traveling and looked forward to his 25th Infantry Army reunions. He was also very proud to have raised two generations of children.

Survivors include his wife, Adeline; two children, Gary (Kathy) Herritz of Warrens and Denise (Brian) Grinder of Reedsburg; three grandsons, Andre, Gary and Josh (Darlene) Herritz; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Emma Herritz and their mother, Emily; two stepdaughters, Brenda (Victor) Spizman of Nevada and Ruth Wolfe of California; two sisters, Betty Mann of Iowa and Mercedes Wagner of Wisconsin Dells; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas Herritz; brother, Leonard Herritz; and sister, Evelyn Albers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Reedsburg VFW. There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. On August 8, 1981, he was married to the former Ellen J. Gall. He loved farming, was a member of the Reedsburg Dartball League, enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Ellen; two sons: Jason (Toni) Thorne, of Reedsburg and Matthew Thorne, of Reedsburg; two grandchildren: Colt and Briar; his parents: Ole and Ann Thorne, of Reedsburg; his sister: Cindy (Dennis) McCauley, of Hill Point, and their sons: Marcus (fiancée: Lexy), Mason (Mackenzie) and Carson; two brothers-in-law: Charles Gall, and his children: Devon, Michelle (Kyle), Kevin, Lydia, Alex and Celia; and H.R. Gall, of Lyndon Station.

Private family services will be held. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. In order to maintain physical distancing, only 50 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home during the visitation. The family is highly recommending that everyone wear a mask.

LaVerne was born April 7, 1929, in Ableman, the second of five children born to Edward and Minnie (Schimniok) Stackman. Her marriage to Willard Krueger was blessed with two children, Jane (Bob) Elmer of Plain and Michael James Krueger of Kingsville, Texas. After Willard’s premature death in 1973, she married William Kenneth Young and they enjoyed the years together until his death in 2007.

She was a great life-partner, mother and homemaker. Words that best describe her are vibrant, resilient, generous and kind-hearted. She made her family’s needs her top priority and she lived in many communities where she connected with her church families, most recently, Trinity Lutheran Church, Kingsville, Texas.

LaVerne is survived by her children; her grandchildren, Holly Lynn (Kent) Purser of Apple Valley, California, and Chad (Laura) Elmer of Hesperia, California; her great-granddaughter Morgan Olivia Elmer; two brothers, Edward (Norma) Stackman of Muscoda and Wayne (Jackie) Stackman of Boise, Idaho; her extended Kentucky family; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her little dog Annie who has brought her great joy as her constant companion.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; her parents; her mother and father-in law Alice and Lavern Ohland; her brother and sister-in-law Arlin and Romaine Stackman; and her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Robert Holtz.

In accordance with LaVerne’s wishes, a service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Her burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg, next to Willard. In memory of LaVerne, give someone a smile and do a random act of kindness.

The family thanks LaVerne’s extraordinary caregivers, Alicia Alvarez, Charlesetta Chinapoo, Lorraine Greenwood and her special friends Ernesto “Plato” Alvarez, Higinio Sanchez-Vera, Jonell Studnicka and Vicki Tijerina for filling her final days with peace and love in the place she most wanted to be —home.

She was born on October 2, 1926 in the Township of Westfield, Sauk County, the daughter of Oscar and Leona (Schenck) Krueger. She was baptized in the family home by Pastor Schalkhauser as the present St. Peter's Church was being built. Louise attended Sunday School and was confirmed on March 17, 1940 by Pastor Carl Stubenvoll. She taught Sunday School and helped Yolanda Giese start the nursery class. She also later taught other classes with children of all ages which was something Louise dearly loved. Louise worked at Nichols Drug Store for many years and later at Home Health both in Reedsburg until retiring to take care of her parents. She was very happy to do so with the Lord's help along with the assistance of other family members. Survivors include her two sisters-in-law: Mildred Krueger and Mabel Krueger, both of Loganville; nieces and nephews: Shirley (Duane) Meyer, Gary (Ann) Krueger, Rhonda (Dennis) Pingel, Keith (Amy) Krueger, Sheila (Calvin) Steinweg and Kevin (Julie) Krueger; great nieces and nephews: Mary, Malinda, Ashley, Lindsay, Daniel, Matthew, Michael, Christina, Laurie, Jeremy, Krista, Kara, Sally, Daniel, Kaitlyn and Kyle; aunts, many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Carol, Roger and infant Arthur as well as a great niece: Amanda. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter's Sunday School would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
