He was born on June 24, 1942, in Loganville, the son of Ariel and Agnes (Giese) Reimer. David was united in marriage to Nancy E. Draeger on July 30, 1983. He graduated from Reedsburg in 1960 and then from UW-Platteville in 1966 as a biology major. Following graduation, David was drafted into the U.S. Army on Aug. 25, 1966, serving in a medical corp until 1968, stationed in a hospital lab in Fort Benjamin, Ind. Following the Army, he came home and worked as a supervisor at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant in Baraboo Bluffs. In 1974, David began working for the State of Wisconsin. He retired in 2006 as an auditor for sales tax with the state IRS. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a sports enthusiast and an avid Badgers football fan.

David is survived by his wife, Nancy; stepdaughter, Nikol (Christopher) Mellenberger and their children, Alexah and Kamryn; stepdaughter, Stacy Smith of Florida; brother, Orland (Isabelle) Reimer; and sister, JoAnn (Lloyd) Feltz. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, with the Rev. Curtis Everson presiding. Burial will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

On October 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Roger C. Krueger at St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Loganville. He preceded her in death October 7, 1998.
Mabel was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She was baptized September 26, 1948, and confirmed June 5, 1949. She assisted with Sunday School and Bible School.
She was employed by DHIA, Alpine Restaurant, J.C. Penney Store Co., Schultz Brothers, PrangeWay, Jubilee Foods, and most recently Village Market IGA in Reedsburg.
Survivors include her children:

Funeral Services for Mabel will take place on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 11:00 am, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville. The Reverend Don Glanzer, Pastor, will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow services at St. Peter's Cemetery in Loganville.

Jim was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg and remained a lifelong member. Jim attended Webb High School where he graduated in 1981. He played football and excelled at wrestling, where he competed in Japan and Germany. He continued working on the family farm and sawmill, and was also a skilled mason. Jim loved nature and being outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunting enthusiast, and could be found stalking the woods every deer season. Family and friends will sorely miss his caring nature and sense of humor. Jim always made time for family and would lend a hand wherever it was needed.

Jim is survived by his children (Lacey, Nicholas and Tanner Craker); his loving partner, Linda Lange; his parents Marlan and LaVera Craker; his siblings: Sheri Craker (fiance Ross Fuller), Susan Puttkamer (Rodney Deyo), Jerry (Debbie) Craker, Jon (Carey) Craker; also several nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends who all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vinton and Viola Craker & William and Edna Klitzke.

Funeral services for James E. Craker will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor Elizabeth Voigt officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Beverly Schanke, Michael (Barb) Schanke, Joyce (Dave) Harp and Christine (Mark) Ziegler; 11 grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Marge and Bob Foss; his mother-in-law, Irene Denzer; one brother, Bob (Joanne) Schanke; two sisters, Darlene (Glenn) Bennett and Carol Schanke; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 31, 1995 in St. John's Lutheran Church-WELS, Rock Springs. Interment took place in Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.

He loved nature walks, especially at his family’s woodland that was part of the farm he grew up at, and Mirror Lake State Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Juanita, and son, Glen Mittelsteadt.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen McLaughlin (Meagan McLaughlin).

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at St. John Lutheran Church, in Reedsburg, with Rev. Robert Moberg, interim pastor, and Pastor Meagan McLaughlin co-officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow the services at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.
