He was a member of Windsor Heights Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking and flowers. His wife, Floy; two daughters, Ginger Cox of Grimes, and Cheryl Cowden of Waukee; a son Preston of Des Moines; two sisters Gloria Abrahamson of Des Moines and Betty Burkman of Badger; and seven grandchildren survive him. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
