Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Brusie Funeral Home with the Rev Ft Vincent Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Creek Cemetery. Paul Cavassa Jr, John Cavassa, Franklin Phelps, Leon Mohr, Donald Johnson and Gerald Johnson will serve as pallbearers.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1924, in Platteville township, Wis., the son of Clyde and Ella (Gillilan) Hamilton. He attended grade school at the Cornelia School. On June 2, 1951, he married Arlene Reiter at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville. They farmed on the same farm in the Cornelia area for 55 years, retiring in 1987 and moving to Potosi. Myron served as the treasurer of Harrison township for 15 years. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Platteville, the Potosi/Tennyson Lions Club, the Masonic Warren Lodge No. 4 in Potosi and the Potosi Township Historical Society. His hobbies included woodworking and making toy farm equipment. Surviving are his special family, Tim and Cory Leibfried and their children, Dana and Derrick of Potosi; cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, on Sept. 27, 1997; his parents; and a sister, Muriel Hamilton, in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Platteville, with the Rev. JoAnn Post officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Harrison township.
