Mr. Kaup was born Sept. 29, 1935, to Loretta and Leo Kaup.

He was married to Sharon Moore on Aug. 27, 1955, at St. Edward Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Steve and Mike Kaup.

Survivors of the immediate family include his mother, Loretta Wewell of Columbus; two sisters, Sharon Pliess of Omaha and Kathy Yates of Lincoln; a brother, Michael Kaup of Columbus; a son, Jim Kaup of Chandler, Ariz; a daughter, Glenda Perry of Chandler, Ariz.

Additional survivors include special friend, Mary Ann Boryca of Fullerton; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Sara and Joshua, Ryan and Chad Kaup, both of Arizona, Kendra and Kassica Perry of Arizona; four great-grandchildren, Tori and Garrett, Damon, Jazlyn and Aubrey.

He was also preceded in death by his father, Leo Kaup, and a brother, John Kaup.

Glen completed his education at Genoa High School. He was a member of the U.S. Airforce and was honorably discharged in January 1962. He was editor of Genoa Leadertimes for over 10 years and also was longtime police officer for the city of Genoa and later the Nancy County Deputy Sheriff.

Glen enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Numerous hobbies including gun smithing, wood working, gardening, reading, and creating ingenious inventions that marveled his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 12 p.m. at Prineville Funeral Home. A catered reception will follow at the Prineville Funeral Home in the fellowship hall.
He was born in Gregory, South Dakota on December 1, 1944 to Lawrence J. and Leona (Roth) Kleinschmit.
Ron worked for the Oregon Dept. of Transportation for 22 years assigned to Ontario, Roseburg, Portland, and Salem. In 1989 he left State employment and began working for the City of Portland to manage the redevelopment of the Lloyd District. After retiring in 1997, he moved to Prineville and was able to live his dream by starting his own Project Development and Construction Management firm.
He married Eva Christine Watts (Bettiol) in Portland, Ore. on May 6, 1989.
In August 2005, he was the victim of a tragic accident which forced him to retire once again. As much as he loved his work, he always put his family first, spending time together gardening, cooking, woodworking, traveling and laughing.
He is survived by his wife Eva Kleinschmit; sons RJ Kleinschmit of Prineville, Scott Kleinschmit of Point Mugu, Calif., Ryan Watts of Prineville, Ore; one daughter, Kristy Kleinschmit of San Diego, Calif; one brother, Jim Kleinschmit of Wisconsin; and seven sisters, Mary Ann Vandehey of Banks, Ore., Kay Shaw of Salem, Ore., Rose Marie Frey of Bend, Ore., Nancey Hackley of Chicago, Illinois, Janice King and Joyce Kleinschmit of Salem, Ore. and Elaine Nelson of California; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Julie.
Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.

Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley. Survivors include his wife, Helen, Hartington; eight children and their spouses, Chuck A. and Mary Lynn Arens, Hartington; Donna and Danny Heimes, Hartington; Norma and Dan Thoene, Fordyce; Bette and Michael Hamilton, Madison; Delores and Greg Johnson, Verdigre; Ronald Arens,
Hartington; Roger Arens, Hartington; and Joan F. Arens, Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren; four sisters and their husbands, Lorraine Schmidt, St. Helena; Evelyn Koch, Crofton; Janita and; Robert Uhing, Niobrara; Delores and Charles Arens, Crofton; three brothers and their wives, Gerald and Lucille Arens, Crofton; Dennis and Mary Frances Arens, Hartington; Kenneth and Ruth Arens, Hartington; and a sister-in-law,

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family (Sts. Peter & Paul) Catholic Church in Bow Valley, Nebraska with the Rev. Eric Olsen officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, at church, from 5-8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at church one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Hames, Bryan Thoene, Will Koch, Jonathan Heimes, Karl Tanderup, and Zach Kramer. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck's grandchildren, Jackson Arens, Owen Eckmann, Myranda Eckmann, Rydder Eckmann, Landon Clark, Wyatt Clark, Sarah Clark, and Myles Clark.

Charles Anthony Arens was born on April 26, 1957 in Crofton, Nebraska to Damian Dennis and Helen E. (Pavelka) Arens. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and went to country school for kindergarten and 1st grade. He attended 2nd-6th grades at St. Peter & Paul in Bow Valley. Charles graduated from Wynot High School in 1975. After graduation he worked on the farm with his dad. He then worked at Gurney's Seed & Nursery in Yankton and then worked 13 years at the Cheese Plant in Hartington. Charles worked at the Prison in Yankton, SD and worked for a hay farmer in South Dakota where he was able to work with his son Nathan. Chuck's final employment was at Bloom N Egg Farm in Bloomfield, NE.

Charles was a member of Holy Family parish in Bow Valley. He loved watching and participating in tractor pulls. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors as well as being able to identify various bird calls. Chuck was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lynn of Hartington; three children and spouses Teresa "Tess" Eckmann of Bloomfield; Mandy and Michael Clark of Hartington, Nathan Arens of Hartington; his mother Helen Arens of Hartington; 8 grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters and spouses Donna and Danny Heimes of Hartington, Norma and Dan Thoene of Fordyce, Bette Hamilton of Crofton, Ronald Arens of Coleridge, Roger Arens of Hartington, Joan F. Arens of Frisco, TX; brother-in-law Greg Johnson of Verdigre.

Charles was preceded in death by his father Damian; a sister Delores Johnson; granddaughter Janet Lynn Eckmann, and father-in-law Cyril Koch.
