She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Stender.
     Harriet had graduated from Madison East High School in 1948. She was a member of the Leo M. Kane American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary of Platteville and also the Heart Foundation. She served on the former Platteville Community Chest and was a longtime leader of the Cornelia Badgers 4-H Club. As of 9 April 1949,her married name was Richards.

     Kenneth A. Friede married Dorothy (?). Kenneth A. Friede was born on 10 June 1929 at Wisconsin. He was the son of Reinhold Henry Herman Friede and Frieda E. Mathis. Kenneth A. Friede died on 28 November 2008 at age 79 Friede, Kenneth A. "Ken" - TOWN OF BURKE - Known as a great guy; a man of few words; who was blessed with many friends and a loving family, Ken Friede passed through the gates of heaven on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, after a brief illness. He is in the company of his parents, Reinhold and Frieda Friede; his wife, Dorothy; sons, Jim and Paul; brothers, Bob and Richard Friede; and his beloved German shepherds. Ken retired from Madison Crushing and was a member of 139 Operating Engineers for 45 years. He was an avid fisherman and card player. Ken is survived by his children, Deborah (Terry) Wilcox, Eugene (Philana) Friede, Connie Friede, Kenneth "Skip" Friede Jr., Mark Friede (Sheri), Kelly Friede (Ed), and Kimberly (Jamie) Tjugum; sister, Beverly Ninedorf; brother, Jerry Friede; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2 p.m, on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

     Orlen Henry Emil Friede was born on 2 February 1921 at Wisconsin. He was the son of Henry Albert Friede and Hulda Meyer. Orlen Henry Emil Friede married Norma E. Kummer, daughter of Wilbert Kummer and Marion U. Crawford, on 11 August 1946 at Eau Caire, Eau Caire, Wisconsin. Orlen Henry Emil Friede died on 15 December 1998 at age 77 EAU CLAIRE LEADER TELEGRAM, Dec 26, 1998 Orten H; Friede,77, of Town of Hallie died Thursday, Dec. 24,1998,at Luther Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1921, to Henry and. Hulda (Meyer) Friede in Reedsburg; Wis. Orlen graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the Class of 1938. He entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942, served during World War II, and was honorably discharged as Boatswain Mate 2nd Class on Sept. 25, 1945. On August 11 1946, he married Norma Kummer Smuhl in Eau Claire. Orlen was a structural draftsman at Phoenix Steel Inc. for 31 years, until, retiring in 1983 He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and Hallie Golf Course. Survivors include two sons, Leonard of Port Washington,Wis., and Gary of Eau Claire: a daughter, Karol Ann (Larry) Scoles of Brooklyn Center, Minn; two grandchildren, Kristina and Jeffrey Scoles; two brothers, Eldon (Donna) of Blair. and William (Iris) of Vadnais Heights, Minn.: and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma and a grandson, Tim. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Epiphany Lutheran Church;
with Pastor Brent L. Parrish officiating.
Burial will he in Prairie View Cemetery in the Town of Hallie. Friends may call from I0 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.
