     Harriet had graduated from Madison East High School in 1948. She was a member of the Leo M. Kane American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary of Platteville and also the Heart Foundation. She served on the former Platteville Community Chest and was a longtime leader of the Cornelia Badgers 4-H Club.
