She was born on Aug. 10, 1923, in Kieler, daughter of Henry and Clara (Flogel) Droessler. She married Harold J. Fleege on Sept. 10, 1947, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler; he preceded her in death on March 17, 2007. She received her Certified Nursing Assistant degree and worked for a period of time at the Hazel Green Hospital. Lorraine was a gentle, faith-inspired person and a tender loving guardian as she watched and cared for her grandchildren. She faithfully prayed the rosary daily. Lorraine was well-known for her baking, especially her sweet rolls and bread. She was an enthusiastic sports fan and especially loved watching the Cubs. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Council of Catholic Women and sang with the church choir for more than 50 years. He was born on Jan. 20, 1928, in Cadott, son of Leo A. and Marie (O'Shaughnassy) Murphy. He married Barbara A. Hughes on Sept. 27, 1958, at St. Victor's Church in Monroe. He grew up on a small farm in the Gays Mills area. At the young age of 12, he started helping his father paint and decorate churches, and he continued up until his passing. He joined the Army at the age of 17 and fought in World War II. He was called back to service for the Korean War. After his service to his country, he continued decorating churches. Decorating was more than a job for Peter, his strong faith and love of working with the priests made it a lifelong love. Flying and airplanes was another passion. Peter had a special love for all his children. He was a caring and humble person who always put others first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Murphy; three sons, Dr. Patrick (Laura) Murphy, of Richland Center, Mark (Audrey) Murphy and Leo (Karen) Murphy, both of Kieler; a daughter, Patricia (David) Molitor, of Sun Prairie; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Droessler and Kathleen (Arvel) Droessler. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Francis Murphy, Tom Murphy and Robert Murphy; and a brother-in-law, Earl Droessler.

She is survived by her husband, Carl, a son, Gerald Hilligas of Cicero, Ill., and her three grandchildren: Preston, Wesley and Geraldine Hilligas and a sister, Mrs. Olive Buck of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hilligas were held Tuesday, June 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside of the family lot in the I.O.O.F. at Brooklyn. Rev. Hugh A. Shively, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated.
The James-Schalinske Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born on December 6, 1933, the daughter of Gerhardt and Dolly (Cadwell) Kirschbaum of Cassville. Florence graduated from Cassville High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Gerald F. Schildgen on November 21, 1953, and together they owned and operated the Schildgen family farm. In 1983, they moved to Lancaster. She was a devoted member of St. Clement Catholic Church. Florence enjoyed fishing the mighty Mississippi River, gardening, and playing cards with family and friends. She took great pride in all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; children: Dan (Kim) Schildgen; Elaine (Larry) Mumm; Gary (Sandy) Schildgen; beloved grandchildren: Eric, Greg, and Paul (Michelle) Schildgen, Rachel (Jesse), Steve (Katie), Andy (Nikki), and Dan Mumm, David, Brad (Whitney Moore), and Jacob Schildgen; two great-grandchildren: Blake and Madeline; a brother, Ray (Joanne) Kirschbaum; a sister, Lois Vorwald; sisters-in-law: Bae Ruth and Marcia Kirschbaum, Sally (Joseph) Langkamp, and Marie (Robert) Olson.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol, a granddaughter, Stephanie, her siblings: Lavern, Carol, Walter (Donna), and Norman Kirschbaum, Dorothy (Donald) Fredrick; brothers-in-law: Virgil Vorwald, Joseph (Drucilla) Schildgen, Elmer Fenzau and Larry Drew.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father John Sasse officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster where a 12:45 p.m. parish rosary was held. Friends also called on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Florence M. Schildgen Memorial Fund has been established. Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services is serving the family.

He was born on July 5, 1937, in Cassville, the son of Gerhardt and Dolly (Cadwell) Kirschbaum. Ray graduated from Cassville High School in 1955. He married the love of his life, Joanne M. Reifsteck on September 14, 1957, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Together, they began farming on the Kirschbaum family farm. Ray later worked for his brother, Walter, at the Cassville Cheese Factory. In 1959, he began his career at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works, where he proudly worked for 30 years. Ray was an avid outdoorsman, who was passionate about hunting, fishing, golfing, and camping on the Mississippi River. Ray took pride in his woodworking, with his specialty being bean bag boards. He was also a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Ray was a member of the Cassville Fire Department, St. Charles Catholic Church and its Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic Knights. Above everything else, Ray cherished his family.
Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Joanne; children: Julie (Gary Wiest) Dean, Michael (Jolene Hansen) Kirschbaum, Joyce (Jeff) Patzner, Janet (John) Bingham; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his sister, Lois Vorwald; sisters-in-law: Bae Ruth and Marcia Kirschbaum; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Bridget Kirschbaum; his brothers: Laverne, Walter (Donna Mae), and Norman; his sisters: Carol Kirschbaum, Dorothy (Don) Frederick, Florence (Gerald) Schildgen; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Vorwald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Raymond H. "Ray" Kirschbaum Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is entrusted with his care.
