He was a longtime farmer, carpenter and did Richland County snow plowing. He retired from Pine Valley Manor. Orville enjoyed gardening, playing cards, snowmobiling and dancing. Orville married the former Mollie (McNamer) Chitwood in 1969 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 20, 2004. He was a longtime member of the Richland Trailblazers Snowmobile Club and Peace United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Duane (Kathy) Sprecher of Spring Green; three grandchildren, Brian (Kristine) Sprecher of Blanchardville, Theresea (Joe) Stapleton of Spring Green, and Mark (Donna) Sprecher of Sun Prairie; six great-grandchildren, J.T. and Lindsey Stapleton, Callie, Christina and Cory Sprecher, and Francis Sprecher; step-daughter, Barbara (Larry) Ledman of Richland Center; step-son, A. James (Mickey) Chitwood of Madison; and several step -grandchildren. Orville is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Erv (Lorene) Sprecher of Blackhawk, Harland (Florence) Sprecher of Spring Green, Arline Pace of California, Walter (Beulah) Sprecher of Pardeeville, Marvin (Fern) Sprecher of Hanover, Ill., Milton Sprecher of Spring Green, Laurna (Wayne) Anderson of Sauk City, and Lorene Erickson of Racine; an aunt, Frieda Schroeder of Reedsburg and Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie; and by a grandson, Tony, in 1959. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Richland Center. The Rev. Tom Tarver will officiate, with burial in the Sylvan Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the church. Pratt Funeral Service, Richland Center, is assisting the family with their arrangements.

He worked in the heating and air conditioning business and retired from Capitol Mechanical in 2005. Gene loved the outdoors. He spent most of his time hunting, fishing, and riding ATV and snowmobiles. Gene enjoyed remodeling, building homes, and always stayed busy.

Gene is survived by his wife of 30 years, Suzanne of Holcombe; four daughters, Kim (Gregg) Johnson of Arlington, Nancy (Eric) Hamele of DeForest, Christa (Tim) Ambrose of High Point, N.C., and Sarah Scholl of Madison, six grandchildren, Darren, Dani, Gracie, Sydney, Parker, and Alyssa; his mother, Loretta Scholl of Blanchardville; a brother, Dale (Barb) Scholl of Mount Horeb; and four sisters, Phyllis (Rick) Kraemer of Spring Green, Anita (Dennis) Bohn of Blanchardville, Ilene (Mike) Schmiedlin of Middleton, and Carla (Dick) Nooyen of DeForest. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gene was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Harley Scholl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. OLAF'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson St., DeForest, on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be held on Saturday at St. Luke's Cemetery in Plain, at 2:30 p.m.

On June 18, 1946, Paul was united in marriage to Mabel Emily Lena Schulte. Paul farmed in the Reedsburg area for many years before retiring in 1982 due to his health. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ervin Klitzke. Paul is survived by his wife, Mabel of Reedsburg; brother-in-law; Harold Schulte of Hillpoint; sisters-in-law; Margaret Klitzke of Reedsburg, Lorna Schulte of Hillpoint and Helen Schulte of Hillpoint; 11 nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Paul F. Klitzke were conducted on Saturday, September 10, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Reverend James Hendrikson officiating. Burial followed in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends called on Friday from 4-9 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home. The family requests memorials of remembrance be made to St. Peter's Handicap or Radio Broadcast Funds. The Farber Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
