On Tuesday after the 4th Advent Sunday, Hans Fedde and his wife, Gretje, in Delve, had a son, Hans, born (or baptized) on 22 December 1744. Godparents were 1) Peter Seebrandt; 2) Reinholdt Lausans of Schwienhusen; and 3) Gretje Seebrandt.1 He was the son of Hans Fedde and Grethje Janssen. Hans Fedde married Christina Hanssen, daughter of Christopher Hanssen of Delve, on 19 April 1771 at Delve, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, From the Marriage Book in the Delve church: 1771, February 10, Hans Fedt, son of Hans Fidde of Delve was engaged to Christina Hanssen, only daughter of Christopher Hanssen of Delve. The proclamation of the engagement was made on the 2nd Easter day and on April 19, 1771, the couple was married in Delve.2 Hans Fedde married Wiebke Ott, daughter of Thoms Otten of Delve, in 1778 at Delve, Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia.      Hans Fedde was baptized in 1698 at Bormersee, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He was born in 1698 at Bormerau, Germany. He was the son of Johann Fidde and Anna Tonnies. Hans Fedde married Grethje Janssen, daughter of Johann Jantzen, on 20 April 1728 at Delve, Schleswig-Holstein, Preussen, 1728 No. 1, 19 February. (The following is the first proclamation or engagement record. It is a marriage contract that was first read to the church congregation on this day.) The good and honorable Hans Fidde, eldest son of Johann Fidde of Dorpstedt in the church of Hollingstedt and Grethja Janssen, daughter of Johan Janssen of Delve, have appeared before me and I give the announcement in written form that they are engaged. The father of the bride from Delve has appeared before me, at my request, and has given his fatherly consent. Because her inheritence (dowry), she was given a house in Delve and 3 hectors of land (by her father) and now the pastor and the Duke have given their consent. The groom has satisfied his military requirement. Signed by Hans Elamssung (the pastor) and several witnesses
On 11 April the 2nd proclamation was made. A repeat of the first announcement was read to the congregation on Jubilate Sunday. On 20th April, the marriage was performed. The marriage took place in the church in Delve.1 Hans Fedde died on 10 September 1753 at Delve, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, May be 1752.
     Hans Fedt was baptized on the 3rd Sunday after Trinity Sunday. He died 10 May 1753 according to the Delve baptism book, 1753. According to the Otto Hintze history, Grethje and Hans became engaged in Delve on 19 Feb 1728. The pastor remarked to that: "I summoned the brides stepfather, Claus Peters, to me in Delve to obtain his fatherly consent but because of some dissent concerning the inheritance from her real father who was among..., the stepfather would not personally take part in permitting the engagement, so Mr. Hans Clausen of the same district and parish represented him with full authority. The groom also agreed to plant the desired number of trees requested by the magistrates. " Witness: The formentioned Hans Clausen and Hinrich Grahm, a shipper in Delve, in whose house the marriage took place on April 20, 1728.2 He was a houseman. Hans Fedde was also known as Fedt. Hannah Wilhelmina Groon married Arthur Matthew Abraham, son of Ole Andreas Abrahamson and Anna Mathiasdatter Eide, on 8 March 1922 at in John Groon's home, Sioux Valley, Union, South Dakota, Married - Mr. Arthur Abraham, oldest son of Mr and Mrs. Ole Abraham of Spink township, and Miss Hannah Groon, oldest and only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerty Groon of Sioux Valley township were married last Wednesday afternoon, March 8th, at 3:00 at the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. J. Bergsaker of the Luthran church and it was a beautiful occasion. The bridal party was attended by her brother, Mr. Clifford Groon, and his sister Miss Agnes Abraham. It was witnessed by the immediate relatives. Bother the groom and the bride are very popular young people and count their friends by their acquaintances. They have the best wishes of the entire community. They will live on the farm about one mile south of Spink.2 Hannah Wilhelmina Groon died on 6 October 1972 at age 72. She was buried on 10 October 1972 at Union Creek Cemetery, Union, South Dakota.
