     Arnold William Klemme was born on 22 September 1922 at Akron, Plymouth, Iowa. He was the son of Frederick Klemme and Etta Margaret Tapper. Arnold William Klemme died on 16 December 1963 at Le Mars, Plymouth, Iowa, at age 41.
     Arnold fought in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge and was wounded and survived, but maintained schrapnel in his brain. Arnold worked as a hired hand for the William C. Toel family. He later worked as a salesman. Arnold died at a fairly early age. He appeared on the census of 1 January 1925 in the household of Frederick Klemme at Preston, Plymouth, Iowa. Norman Klemme

     Norman Klemme was born on 10 January 1925 at Iowa. He was the son of Frederick Klemme and Etta Margaret Tapper. Norman Klemme married Evelyn E. Marienau, daughter of Bernard H. Marienau and Ida Berg, on 18 February 1951 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brunsville, Plymouth, Iowa, Miss Evelyn Marienau of Brunsville became the bride of Norman Klemme of Akron at a double ring ceremony performed Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2pm in St. Peter's Lutheran church in Brunsville. The Rev. A. F. Zenk read the service.
The bride was attractive in an aqua blue suit with brown accessories and an orchid corsage. Miss Eileen Marienau was her sister's bridesmaid. She wore a gold suit with brown accessories. Her corsage was white carnations.
Brother of the bridegroom, Arnold Klemme was best man. The men's boutonnieres were white carnations.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Ben H. Marienau and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Fred Klemme.
A two course luncheon was served to the wedding party and immediate families of the couple at the home of the bride's parents after the ceremony.
Mrs. Marienau received in a dress of navy blue and Mrs. Klemme appeared in a tan suit. Both mothers wore corsages of red roses.
Serving at the luncheon were Mrs. Marvin Marienau, Mrs. Norman Marienau and Mrs. Arnold Klemme.
The bride attended Ireton high school and Mr. Klemme has been farming with his brother.
After a wedding trip to Denver, Colo., and other points west, Mr. And Mrs. Klemme will be at home on the tenant farm of Walter Mitchell located north of Ireton.1 Norman Klemme died in June 1986 at age 61.

     Harvey Roger Klemme was born on 8 June 1928 at Iowa. He was the son of Frederick Klemme and Etta Margaret Tapper. Harvey Roger Klemme died on 16 April 2016 at age 87 Harvey Klemme, 87, of Akron, Iowa passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Akron Care Center in Akron.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Akron. Reverend Jim Berka will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron.

Harvey Roger Klemme was born June 8, 1928 on the family farm near Akron, Iowa, the son of Fred and Etta (Tapper) Klemme. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church – Preston Township. He attended country school in Plymouth County and later high school in Le Mars.

He was united in marriage to Betty Morehead on June 12, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Early on, they lived in Le Mars until moving to a farm near Akron in mid 1950’s where Harvey farmed. In 1963, they moved to Akron. Harvey worked for various agriculture businesses in Akron, including the Brodie Implement and the Farmers Coop. He also owned and operated Akron Feed and Grain for several years. Harvey also enjoyed trucking; he hauled grain for area farmers until he retired at the age of 84. Harvey also managed the Akron Golf Course for many years.

Harvey was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, having help usher and served on church council. Through the years, Harvey enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and playing cards. He also enjoyed going for coffee with his buddies in Akron. But most of all, he loved the times spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of over 67 years, Betty of Akron; a daughter: Angela Hansen of Austin, MN; two sons: David (Sharon) Klemme of Akron and Scott (Stephani) Klemme of Akron; 6 grandchildren: Troy Hansen of Minneapolis, MN, Derek (Missy) Hansen of Austin, MN, Dustin (Melinda) Appley of Akron, Paul Klemme of Akron, Brooke (Tom) Huls of Akron, and Traci (Mitch) DeRocher of Akron; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother: Lowell Klemme of Le Mars, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons in infancy; twin granddaughters: Jodi and Jennifer Klemme; a son in law: Dan Hansen; his sister: Irene Kruse; and 5 brothers: Benny in infancy, Arnold Klemme, Norman Klemme, Alvin Klemme, and Leonard Klemme.
     Betty L. Morehead and Harvey R. Klemme were married June 12, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran church, Akron, Iowa. Their first home in Le Mars, Iowa was an apartment at 501 First Street S. W. owned by Harvey's grandmother Mrs. Henry Klemme. Angela J., born January 1, 1950, was the first baby born in the Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars. Harvey worked for E. J. Blaue until March of 1950 when they moved to Preston township and started farming. On March 14, 1952, David R. was born in Akron, Iowa. The Klemmes then moved back to Le Mars, Iowa in December 1954, where Harvey and his brother Norman had purchased a Phillips 66 Station. On March 26, 1955, Scott D. was born in Akron. They moved to Johnson township in 1956 where Harvey farmed until December of 1963. They purchased a house in Akron at 430 7th Street. Harvey sold B. P. Feeds for several years. In about 1970 he started working for Scroggs Feed of Hawarden, which led to buying Akron Feed and Grain in about 1976. The Klemme children attended and graduated from Akron Community school.
